Yes, you heard me right, Yakubu Aiyegbeni holds the records for the most hat- trick from an Africa player in the English premier league. Chelsea Legend Didier Drogba is a close second.
With four Premier League hat-tricks to his name, Yakubu Aiyegbeni has scored more trebles than any other African player in the English top flight. He's also joint-12th in the division's all-time list.
His first came back in May 2004 against old club Middlesbrough, when he notched four times for Portsmouth in their 5-1 at Fratton Park.
Like Drogba, he then scored the first hat-trick of the following season, although it was just three this time as Pompey beat Fulham 4-3.
Three years later, and he was back in the goalscoring act against Fulham, although this time for a new team as Everton claimed a 3-0 win at Goodison Park.
He then claimed another four-goal haul the following season, this time for Blackburn Rovers, as Swansea City were given a 4-2 beating at Ewood Park.
