Usually airline passengers side with flight attendants when it comes to safety, but in the case of a US Airways flight Wednesday night, passengers rallied around a blind man and his guide dog and disembarked en masse.
All 35 passengers on US Airways Flight 4384 walked off the plane after Albert Rizzi, a blind man from Long Island, and his dog, Doxy, were escorted off the flight after a heated exchange between Rizzi and a flight attendant about where his dog was placed, according to Rizzi.
Although he was first to arrive on the tarmac for the flight from Philadelphia International Airport to MacArthur Airport on Long Island, Rizzi said he and his dog were the last to be seated on the small plane. He was seated in the middle of the back row looking onto the aisle with no seat in front of him for Doxy to lay under.
Shortly after boarding, Rizzi said a flight attendant told him the dog would need to go under a seat for safety reasons.

Mike Tyson Says He Was on Drugs in Major Fights, Reveals How He Passed Tests, Tyson's autobiography,Undisputed Truth, was release don Tuesday and contains shocking new details from the retired professional boxer's career. As reported by radiotelegraphs Swaine, Tyson entered someof his major fights high on drug sand took extreme measures to avoid testing positive for the illegal substances. Swaine documents some of the more powerful lines in Tyson'smemoir, beginning with the fighter's shocking 2004 loss to Danny Williams.Clive Brunskill/Getty ImagesTyson taking on Danny Williams in2004."I was a full-blown coke head,"wrote Tyson, who admitted to using the drug until shortly before the bout began.Tyson also notes that he first tried cocaine at age 11 and was given alcohol for the first time as baby, marking the apparent roots of his habitual indulgence sin those vices. Then there was the method Tyson used to avoid testingpositive for drugs, per Swaine:[Tyson] said that he was high before taking to the ring for match against Lou Savarese inGlasgow in June 2000—andcame up with an ingenious method to prevent detection by the sport's official testers.Confessing he had taken "blow"and "pot" before the bout, he said: "I had to use my whizzer, which was a fake penis where you put in someones clean urine to pass your drug test."He blamed a $200,000 fine for testing positive for marijuana after a 2000 fight against Andrew Golota in Detroit on the fact that he was tested before having a chance to get the 'whizzer' from a member of hi steam, whom he claims typically carried the device from fight to fight. When Tyson got into a brawl before a January 2002 fight withLennox Lewis, he explained that cocaine was to blame for his actions, which included biting into one of Lewis' legs."I lost my mind," said Tyson. "Looked over at him and wanted to hit the mother***er."Although it appeared Tyson was clean after several years inrehabilitation, the 47-year-old revealed in August that he had nearly died due to his alcoholism and had been lying about his sobriety.Living the fast life was impacting Tyson as early as 1989, when he took on Frank Bruno for the first time. Tyson wrote that he was in bad enough shape that Bruno should have beaten him, but he managed to emerge victorious on a fifth-round TKO.Tyson also wrote on his infamous biting of EvanderHolyfield's ear in 1997. He says continual headbutts drove him to the bizarre act. Swaine's report touches on another aspect of Tyson's roller-coaster life, including the boxer's financial tribulations. Tyson was perpetually on the brink of "financial ruin" even though he earned tens of millions of dollars per fight during the apex of his career.  Tyson was the youngest ever to win the WBC, WBA and IFCheavyweight titles. He retired with a record of 50-6 with 44knockouts.For as much in-ring success as the legendary boxer had, he experienced just as much controversy out of the ring.Based on these details, however,it seems some of those out-of-the-ring issues found their way into Tyson's bouts as well.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year?

I love Christmas. It's my favorite time of the year. I love the magic, and the glow that everything has, and that for one small
part of the year, people are willing to give and to create joy for others. But here it is, two weeks before Christmas, I'm not feeling it.
I'm not ready.
I have looked within myself to find that inner child who glories in the lights and the songs and the giving and you know what?
She seems to be sleeping. Or maybe she wandered off.

I don't know quite why it is, but I am just not thrilled for Christmas. The house isn't decorated yet, we don't have a tree,
and I haven't done any of my shopping yet. I'm not humming carols, I'm not killing Chicken's yet, I'm not bullying other people
into enjoying the season.

Dear Blog

I'm sorry I've been neglecting you still. I'm not as busy these days, and I don't really have an excuse. I have a reason. I miss you, blog. You're a place where I can write about what's happening in my little slice of the world, work through things that are puzzling me, share joys and find solace for my sorrows. But lately, dear blog, I have been feeling off. And by lately, I mean the last several months.

You see, my relationship with my girlfriend has been deteriorating, unraveling like a piece of knitting that's been slipped off the needles. I have been given lots of well-meaning advice, and have figured some things out on my own. But what I miss, really and truly, is how you listen. How I can tell you things in my own way at my own pace and you don't jump in and ask questions. How I can break down a little and you don't judge me for it or give me pity or fake sympathy. You simply listen, and that is a gift. But, dear blog, while I will tell you my secrets and hopes and fears and dreams, I don't think it's fair to share secrets and personal information that aren't mine--or exclusively mine. So I have not talked about my girl much, or our relationship in depth. I realize now that these relationship issues have affected me more deeply than I realized, and for longer than I suspected. And without the release of talking to you, so much emotion has been bottled up that I feel I might burst.
